This lovely piece of Polish pottery is brand new, original label still intact on the base. I acquired this at an estate sale. It is an excellent vintage condition. I do not see any cracks or chips. Boleslawiec ,vintage Polish stoneware original Folk Art, Ceramika Artystyczna table art is historic European stoneware comprised of serving pieces, bake ware, table settings. This octagonal charming small serving bowl, individual baker measures 4.25" by 4.25” and 1.5” high. See photos for condition concerns. Slight scratch on one side, only noticed it upon close inspection with a light.
Boleslawiec stoneware originated as folk art in the early 1800s. It was crafted in the German Province of Silesia, now part of Poland. Inspired by the peacock feather, farmers were instrumental in creating a statement of strength and beauty in each piece of their tableware. Made today in a small Polish village by skilled artisans, each piece hand crafted and hand painted. Listing is for bowl only
