Breathtaking Mid-to-Late 20th Century Cut Crystal Decanter

This absolutely stunning decanter is cut crystal. It is likely mid-late 20th century. There are no maker’s marks.

The body has a banded pattern of raised diamonds and slightly recessed thumbprints and teardrops. Some of the photos show the pattern interacting with light. The stopper is also cut crystal with a frosted glass base. The tip of the stopper is cut into raised wedges, so it resembles a sliced pie. Around the perimeter are smaller raised wedges and elongated teardrops. The body of the stopper has a raised diamond pattern. The decanter’s bottom has a cut starburst pattern.

The frosted glass base of the stopper has three small chips, which are shown in the last two photos. The only other flaw is some short whitish lines on the interior of the decanter. The ones on the neck are shown. These may be very shallow scratches or residue marks from previous contents.
