Lovely, handpainted vintage teacup and saucer from the distinguished Victoria C&E company. Known for their quality and distinctive designs, they produced the popular Victoria line of bone china between 1912 - 1955 before the company was sold. The mark on this teacup and saucer indicates it was produced between 1936 - 1955.
What I love about this design is the scalloped shape and distinctive handle. Both pieces are in excellent vintage condition. The only small flaws would be a couple of tiny black marks (see pics) and a tiny dot on the inside of the cup. That one is a factory flaw. While a small amount of the gold trim has rubbed away, it still shines bright and isn't tarnished. The pattern is intact and colors vibrant, along with the white of the china. No stains, crazing, cracks, chips or flea bites. I ran my thumb along all the edges to make sure.
Smoke free home, and as always, I pack carefully.
