Schisandra (Schisandra Chinensis) is liana with a powerful woody stalk, reaching 10-15 m in length and 1-2.5 cm in diameter. Shoots are elastic, quite durable, spiraling around thin trees and shrubs, vine cuts into their trunks as the host plants grow. In the northern regions, Schisandra forms a bushy and creeping form with numerous rhizome shoots. Bark is with numerous oblong lentils. Leaf blades are oval or broadly lanceolate. The flowers are small, pink at the beginning of flowering, then white and yellowish when wilted. Fruits are juicy orange-red spherical berries located on a long axis. It blooms in the second half of May - early June, the fruits ripen in September-October.
