The normal charging time is approximately 3 hours. Monitor the charger indicators and disconnect the charger when the battery reaches full charge. Do not leave the battery connected for an extended period after charging is complete. The battery, charging port, connector, charger, and power cord must be completely clean and dry before charging. Never charge a battery that is unusually hot, wet, swollen, leaking, damaged, punctured, cracked, dropped, crushed, modified, or producing an unusual smell or sound. Stop charging immediately if the battery or charger becomes excessively hot, swells, leaks, produces smoke, sparks, an unusual odor, or any other abnormal condition. Battery Handling and Storage Do not open, disassemble, puncture, crush, drop, strike, modify, short-circuit, burn, or place the battery near fire or extreme heat. Do not expose the battery to prolonged moisture, direct sunlight, or high-temperature environments. Inspect the battery case, charging connector, cable, and contacts before every use and charge. Store the battery in a cool, dry, secure location away from flammable materials. Do not use or recharge a damaged battery. Do not dispose of the battery in household trash or fire. Follow applicable local regulations for lithium-battery recycling and disposal. Do not ship or transport a damaged battery without instructions from a qualified hazardous-material or battery professional. Operating Safety This is a high-powered motorized water-sports product intended for responsible adult operation. Persons under 18 are advised not to operate this product. Wear appropriate personal flotation and protective equipment. Follow all local boating and water-sports regulations. Never operate near swimmers, crowded areas, rocks, boats, shallow water, or other hazards. Improper assembly, operation, charging, or maintenance may cause serious injury, death, or property damage. By purchasing and operating this product, the user agrees to read and follow the complete manufacturer’s manual, warning labels, charging instructions, and maintenance requirements. The manufacturer’s manual specifies use of the standard supplied charger and an approximately three-hour charging time. The battery MSDS identifies extended charging, short-circuiting, impact, puncturing, crushing, and breakage as conditions presenting risks of heat, rupture, leakage, or fire.
